Juanita Boyd
Juanita Boyd has been painting professionally for over 35 years. Her career started in creative photographic painting, winning many state and national awards. She was also awarded “Artist of the Year” in 1973 and placed in “Who’s Who in American Women” by the Professional Photographic Artists of Indiana. Juanita and her husband, Garland, were co-owners of Garland’s Art Galleries in Fort Wayne, IN for 15 years. For many of those years, the gallery provided her with classroom space to centralize her teaching expertise in the Fort Wayne area. Teaching has always been her first love, bringing the joy of painting to many students. She has taught thousands of beginning, intermediate, and advanced students in hospitals, schools, art shops, seminars and her own studio. She is excited about sharing her love for art and teaching with area teens.
